Die Kathedrale von Troyes

Die Kathedrale von Troyes

was taken in the nave of Troyes Cathedral. The focus is on the Gothic pillars and the prayer chairs lined up in front of them. Due to the oblique shot, taken from the central aisle, the tall and heavy columns take up three quarters of the picture, the chairs on the right edge one quarter. When viewed from the side, the columns, which are actually systematically arranged and evenly spaced, can hardly be seen separately. Rather, they merge into one another.

It is one of the major works of French Gothic architecture

Carbon print on Hahnemühle Photo RAG Baryta Roggenkamp gallery frame with spacer strip and museum glass. The frame strip made of solid maple was embedded with carbon pigment for the picture and thus optimally picks up the wooden seating.
